Our belated congratulations to Prince Rahim Aga Khan and his wife Princess Salwa, who gave birth to Prince Irfan on 11th April in Geneva, Switzerland.
Let us pray for the health of mother and baby and for the blessings of the Lord God on the young boy's life.
Although it is impossible to know, it is likely that young Irfan will one day be the 51st Aga Khan and spiritual leader of his people.
The name 'Irfan' means 'knowing' or 'awareness'. In Islam, those with that name are sometimes said to have insight into the unseen.
"For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience ..." (Col 1:9-14)
