April 1st to April 10th sees the return of the annual Toronto Storytelling Festival, the fourth iteration of this celebration of story. The festival presents an excellent opportunity to Ismailis and Christians alike, particularly as some of the events will take place at the Ismaili Center of Toronto.

Toronto Storytelling Festival

Hosted by Storytelling Toronto, this is an event with four movements:

  1. April 1st and 2nd: Storyfire - "a celebration of community storytelling across the city".
  2. April 3rd: Storytelling at the Gladstone - "a curated afternoon of Toronto storytellers".
  3. April 6th-8th: Storytellers Camp - "a three-day festival-within-the-festival, featuring workshops and storytalks with our national and international artists".
  4. April 9th-10th: TD Story Jam - "a two-day family storytelling party".

For any of our friends in Toronto, this may be a great event to explore as we look at hosting 'Meet My Story' events across the world.

These events are designed to give Ismailis and Christians the freedom to share their stories with each other and thereby grow in understanding and community. Maybe Toronto is a great place to start!
